Project: Casemet – Innovative Strength from Generation to Generation 2025–2028
The company’s business idea is to develop, manufacture, and sell metal enclosures for demanding industrial applications, as well as to provide manufacturing services in metal and electrical engineering using competitive production methods. The service responds to the growing customer need to outsource production while ensuring a flexible, high-quality, and competitive product offering.
Through this project, Casemet Oy aims to ensure, through targeted investments, that its environmental performance, energy efficiency, production capacity and efficiency, as well as manufacturing capabilities, better meet evolving market demands. By investing in automation, robotics, and digitalization, the company will secure its competitiveness well into the future. In line with its growth strategy, Casemet will explore opportunities to expand into the Norwegian market, thereby creating new local jobs at its factory in Mikkeli. Casemet Oy is committed to responsible and sustainable development.
The project consists of four work packages, which will be implemented in phases over a period of 3.5 years (2025–2028).
The first work package focuses on investments in production automation. The second package aims to enhance internal processes through digitalization. The third package targets expansion into the Norwegian market, while the fourth focuses on launching new proprietary enclosure products, particularly in the Swedish market.
As a result of the project, Casemet Oy will achieve:
- A more competitive production environment that is more ecological, highly automated and robotized, and more modern—covering machinery, production control, logistics, and digital information management
- Improved competitiveness through digitalization and data utilization
- Expansion into the Norwegian market with steel enclosure solutions
- New enclosure products and entry into the Swedish market
- Skilled and motivated personnel

The company's business idea is to develop, manufacture and sell metal enclosures for demanding industrial applications and to offer metal and electrical engineering manufacturing services using competitive production methods. The service responds to customers' growing need to outsource production and ensure a flexible, high-quality and competitive product package.
With this project, the company wants to make investments to ensure that its ecology, energy efficiency, production capacity and efficiency, as well as manufacturing capability meet current and future market requirements, and that by investing in automation and digitalization, the company will ensure its competitiveness also in the future. The expansion of the business to Sweden supports the company's growth strategy and creates jobs at the Mikkeli plant.
The company's project includes 3 work packages, the contents of which will be implemented in stages over a period of over 3,5 years (2022–2025).
The functions of the first package are related to the automation of production through investments, while the measures in the second work package are aimed at improving the efficiency of internal operating processes by utilising digitalization and the measures in the third work package are aimed at expanding into the Swedish market.
As a result of the project, Casemet Oy has:
